The Types Of Diabetic Nephropathy And Treatment For It

2018-08-28 11:30

At present with the development of society the life quality of people is improved quickly and more and more people get the diabetes ,that is called over-nutrition disease.Diabetes itself is not troubling. What is terribling is its complications, especially chronic complications. Diabetic nephropathy is undoubtedly one of the terrible complications. According to the data: One in 3 of the diabetes patients in our country will have kidney disease. The Harvard University diabetes research center clinical report pointed out: The average survival time of nephrotic patients with proteinuria was about 10 years. Among nephrotic patients, 25 % of diabetes patients with proteinuria will develop uremia within 6 years. 50 % of people will develop uremia within 10 years.

In pathology, diabetic nephropathy is divided into 5 phases from light to heavy, and progresses every 3 years.

The first stage is the initial stage. Glomerular filtration increases and renal volume increases. The second phase is called the ” silent phase”. Structural damages begin to appear in glomerulus. urine protein will appear after exercise excitation, and blood pressure of some patients will begin to rise. The third stage is clinically called early diabetic nephropathy, which begins to show glomerular degeneration, with a slight increase in urinary albumin excretion rate, with 20 – 200 micrograms per second of microalbuminuria test results. The fourth stage belongs to the stage of clinical or overt diabetic nephropathy, and glomerulus begins sclerosis. The typical manifestations are large amount of urine protein, obvious edema, and high blood pressure. The fifth stage is end-stage renal failure. Renal function gradually dries up until uremia.

Diabetic nephropathy easily develops into uremia

Diabetic nephropathy is one of the serious complications of diabetic patients. The morbidity rate in our country is also on the rise. At present, it has become the second cause of uremia, second only to various glomeruloNephritis. Because of its complicated metabolic disorder, once uremia develops, it is often more difficult than other kidney diseases to treat. Therefore, timely prevention and treatment is of great significance to delay the progress of diabetic nephropathy.
